When:
Sun 29 Apr (09:00)

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
Glenrock State Conservation Area
Meeting Point:

Corner of Pacific Highway and Fernleigh Loop, Adamstown Heights

Show on Google maps: Meeting point. Login or register to get directions.

Join us on Sunday the 29th April for a Trail Maintenance session to continue the works on BJ's. The general maintenance day on the saturday has been postponed to make way for these major works that need to be completed to get the trail open again.

Mick will chime in after he gets back from his ride to add details about tools, etc.

This is the day of the Scott Demo Day, so come for a build and take a break to demo some bikes. We may have a small set up on gun club road selling drinks/shirts and doing some general PR work and filling people in on BJ's.

As you may have seen in the meeting list, I have planned a Maintenance day for Saturday 17th March starting at 9am.

Details can be found here: http://glenrocktrailalliance.com/node/34638

Please help spread the word on the build day.

As stated in the meeting invite, the works will be maintenance like in that we won't be doing major reconstruction, just the much needed trail cleanup after weeks of bad weather. We will be looking at de-bermong, re-scollaping and fixing drainage and ruts.

Join us on Saturday the 17th of March for a Trail Maintenance session.

No major works proposed, just the general maintenance needed after weeks of bad, wet weather and torrential rain. Thinks like de-berming, re-scollaping, fixing drainage etc. Not big works, not exciting works, but still important in keeping the trails sweet.

At this point its bring your own shovel, pick, rake, or tool of choice.

Meet at Gun Club Road and we will work on upper BJ's, Double Barrel and Twisties. Open to other suggestions though.

Monthly Minor Maintenance of Glenrock.

I'm going to set aside a couple of hours once a month to do minor maintenance (nothing more than shovel work) once a month. The plan for each session is to nominate a section of trail and just walk it with tools doing minor maintannce like deberming, fixing drainage, etc. No major works, just the little things that stop small issues becoming big issues.

I don't envisage a session going for more than a few hours, and if a major build day is scheduled close to the general maintenance day, the major works will take priority and the smaller day may be canned.
