We're nearly at the bottom

Last two corners leading down to where you've been working.

BJ's will be nearly done and live up to it's name(Big Jobs).

Also got those few rocks to place over on "the trail formerly known as shit happens".

See you all there,
Mick.

Some pics of the corner I was

Some pics of the corner I was working on.

The problem with this corner was that people were cutting in tight on the entry then riding around the tree in a big arc which was gouging out a berm so the trail held water, which was making the berm worse, which made the water problem worse and on it goes.

The new work has reshaped the entry to try and get people turning in earlier, then hopefully two small turns on the berms. Between the berms it is now straight with a substantial outslope to solve the drainage issue. The old line is now significantly off camber which should make it fairly unattractive.

Hopefully people like this better than the last attempt where someone threw all my rocks down the hill!

The heroes of the day though

The heroes of the day though have to be the wheelbarrow chain gang who hauled a ridiculous amount of rocks and soil in from the fire trail to sort out that messy last corner. You guys were like machines. I'm sure Mick's got some pics of that work.
